After more than 200 years of perfecting its celebrated Single Malt, Islay's first distillery, Bowmore, recently embarked on a new quest. The challenge: to discover the answer to the age-old question "if Bowmore was a chocolate bar, what would it taste like?". Almost a year later and countless cocoa beans down the line, Bowmore is delighted to unveil two unique chocolate bars, inspired by two of its most popular expressions - Small Batch and 15 Years Old 'Darkest'.
Developed in close collaboration with innovative British chocolatier Montezuma's, the Small Batch chocolate bar is infused with the latest addition to the Bowmore range and oozes honeycomb and cinnamon spice.
In contrast, the Darkest chocolate bar melts in the mouth to reveal all the treacle and raisin richness of Bowmore's highly-awarded 15 Year Old 'Darkest'. Darkest and utterly delicious!
For your chance to enjoy both, please join Bowmore at one of its 'Taste of Islay' events running throughout Europe in 2014. Both chocolate bars will also be available to sample at a wide range of whisky fairs taking place all around the world this year, as well as at Bowmore Distillery itself. To track down your local 'Taste of Islay' event, please visit Bowmore's offical Facebook page or follow #TasteofIslay on Twitter.
Can't visit a Bowmore event in person to sample these delights? Don't worry. Order a 70cl bottle of Bowmore 15 Year Old 'Darkest' from the Whisky Exchange during April and you will receive a 50g bar of Bowmore Darkest chocolate absolutely free.
