How glad those first settlers must have been to see Islay's coastline. Today, it's hand-selected North American bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks that navigate their way across the Atlantic to help shape the character of our spirit. The Spanish oak in particular contributes a deep copper colour and adds to Bowmore Mariner's beautifully balanced, satisfyingly complex finish.
