Each year, as May draws to a close, our island opens its doors to whisky lovers from around the world. Our invitation to experience the infinite layers of flavour that define our spirit, in the very place it’s made.
At Bowmore, nothing is left to chance. Every stage of our whisky-making is intentional, guided by centuries of expertise and an unwavering commitment to craft. From our floor-malted barley to the careful selection of casks, every decision is made with purpose. Our vision is to create a whisky that ages like no other, developing layer upon layer character.

Bowmore Open Day
At the heart of Fèis Ìle is our Bowmore Open Day, a moment for us to open our distillery gates and welcome you into our world. Set against the stunning backdrop of Loch Indaal, our distillery comes alive with a rich captivating mix of tastings and experiences, each designed to showcase the craftsmanship behind our whisky.
As you explore, enjoy the electrifying sounds of Corra, whose dynamic blend of folk, rock, and Celtic rhythms will fill the air, setting the perfect atmosphere for celebration.
Beyond the whisky, a variety of activities and food vendors will keep the festivities going throughout the day. Whether you’re indulging in local flavours, taking part in whisky experiences, or simply soaking in the scenery with a glass in hand, Bowmore Day is a chance to be truly immersed.

FROM THE DISTILLERY. FOR THE FESTIVAL.
The Bowmore Fèis Ìle 2025 Edition has been crafted exclusively to mark the occasion of the annual festival. This limited edition release captures the spirit of the season, the soul of the island and the character of Bowmore. Aged for 8 years in PX sherry-seasoned, Spanish oak casks.
On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice, leather and peat smoke, softened by hints of dried fruit and toasted almonds. The palate is sweet and oily, with notes of floral parma violets, charred orange rind, smoky black cherry and apricot. It finishes long and warming, with citrus, spice and glowing embers. With its rich depth of flavour, this festival exclusive pays homage to the story of Bowmore.
